ALIGASH Masters The Eyes-Closed Feeling In Latest Single ‘Quicksand’

This one is for those who seek to take flight because of a song. Here’s your ticket.

Good afternoon! How’s January been so far? Almost on the edge of a new month of 2024, we’ve been graced with a lovely EP for those who are Trance lovers. If the feeling of levitating during a heavenly break speaks to you, I’ve got the perfect song to handle your craving. Perth-based label Amon Vision is its home, as to be expected. Producer ALIGASH, its creator.

ALIGASH

Hailing from China, DJ and producer ALIGASH has been a part of the scene for a good, long while. In fact, thirty years after finding a special spark in music, he’s taken his craft to a whole bunch of places. Definitions of a good Trance track such as airy atmospheres, levitation-inducing breaks, and powerful chords, are all synonyms to ALIGASH’s tunes. Just coming down from being a part of Future Sound Of Egypt’s Future Sound EP Vol. 14 last year, he’s releasing a stunning new track, titled ‘Quicksand‘.

‘Quicksand’

The first 2024 track by ALIGASH does not come alone on this release, no sir. It’s a two-parter, containing the original ‘Quicksand’ on the A-side, and a cheeky little entrancing remix by popular duo Fuenka on the flipside. Actually, the release as a whole has had great reception. So good, in fact, Beatport considers it quite a Hype release, and the remix currently sits atop the Beatport Trance (Raw / Deep / Hypnotic) chart.

Original Mix

Uplifting to leave you with your heart like jello, that’s a proper description. After the first drop, which brings all the melody and chords that you’ll discover throughout the track, comes what is, perhaps, the most intense part of this song. Not in terms of energy, but in terms of how much feeling it portrays: the break. Follow my advice, it’s best enjoyed with eyes closed, and a tissue nearby in case a tear rolls down your face.

Fuenka Remix

Enter a whole new dimension of sound. Taking the feeling of the original ‘Quicksand’ and making a beautiful Deep Trance rendition of it, you’ll be able to hear the same trancey arpeggios and hypnotising elements, now over a rolling bassline and at a slightly slower cruising speed, for those looking for an introspective journey.
