EDMTunes New Music Friday – Week 52

Listen to the most flavour-packed tracks we discovered this week.

Music makes the world go round. And in that regard, we’re constantly on the lookout for new, exciting tunes to share with our audience. We’ve found some that cause goosebumps, and make you open your eyes and get up from your chair to dance. So put on your best pair of headphones, or turn up your speakers, and enjoy this week’s New Music Friday.

Here are our top picks for the best music we came across this last week of the year, in no particular order.

LENny [IT] – Down

Genre: Slap House

Coming through making waves and a name for himself in the Industry is House producer LENny, one who loves to push his sound to the limit, crossing genres and hybridising patterns to achieve a powerful product. His latest adventure? ‘Down‘.

The track is a groovy rendition of the finest Slap House. Feel free to travel back in time a couple of years, to a time when Vintage Culture was a up-and-coming act. ‘Down’ is full of those little grainy elements that give it character, adding even more spice to the already flavourful beat reigning the song.

Planet Perfecto, Hot Pursuit & Velvet Cash – Gone Cold (Thank You)

Genre: Future House, Tech House

Has your tea gone cold, are you wondering why you got out of bed at all? Well, think no more. You’re looking to sing Dido’s timeless ‘Thank You’. Oakenfold’s Perfecto residents Planet Perfecto (Paul himself), Hot Pursuit, and Velvet Cash have just the right thing for you: their very own cover, ‘Gone Cold‘.

While you sing the iconic lines, ‘Gone Cold’ is a Future House / Techno monster, ready to entrance with its dirty percussion, melodic cues, and, of course, an unforgettable lyrical quality. Give it a listen below. It’s not so bad, is it?

KEEV – 3AM

Genre: Future Big Room, Reverse Bass

Looking for a banging, fast-paced EDM tune to end the year in style? This one’s for you. All the way from Germany is KEEV, a producer who started out doing only mashups, and has since built a repertoire of original tracks. One of which, just came out this week.

3AM‘ is a stunning track, blending elements from a plethora of genres. We hear Reverse Bass beats, airy strings, Techno-infused arrangements, and so much more. If one thing stays consistent throughout the track is the unknown, the surprise factor. Believe me, expect the unexpected.
