EDMTunes New Music Friday – Week 51

Listen to the most flavour-packed tracks we discovered this week.

Music makes the world go round. And in that regard, we’re constantly on the lookout for new, exciting tunes to share with our audience. We’ve found some that cause goosebumps, and make you open your eyes and get up from your chair to dance. So put on your best pair of headphones, or turn up your speakers, and enjoy this week’s New Music Friday.

Here are our top picks for the best music we came across this week, in no particular order.

MDNTMVMT – Nothing Compares to the Music

Genre: Minimal Techno, Tech House

If you were looking for a slight change from the last NMF filled with Drum and Bass, you’re in luck. Jovany and James from the duo MDNTMVMT kick things off this week with their latest minimalistic banger, ‘Nothing Compares to the Music‘.

Their track portrays a groove-filled composition, similar to the Minimal Techno sound ridden by the German Boris Brejcha, but adding their own little twist to infuse this Minimal plate with Tech House spices.

Sam Day – EVERYTIME I SEE YOUR FACE

Genre: Future House, UK Garage

I don’t know you, but when I see the NCS logo I know something good is coming. And this wasn’t the exception. A veteran of the imprint, Englishman Sam Day just released a six-track EP titled BLINDSIDE, and one of the tracks is this one.

EVERYTIME I SEE YOUR FACE‘ features a happy aura, with a jumpy beat and laid-back percussion. The melodies truly help the track bring some colours to the industry, an industry, pardon me, always preferring the dark over the light. Sweet.

DVRKCLOUD & 4URA feat. Meggie York – Without You

Genre: Future Bass

This one is a proper international collaboration. One that was written all over the world, actually. ‘Without You‘ sees India, South Korea, and the United States, all come together, in the form of DVRKCLOUD, 4URA, and Meggie York.

Three years in the making, this track shows expertise all throughout. Soft analogue arpeggios meet acoustic guitars, magical fills, and Meggie’s spot-on vocals. Stick around until the drop, you won’t want to miss the Porter-Robinson-like beat.

Cielo (US) – Nectarine

Genre: Organic House, Progressive House

Fun fact, yours truly loves Organic House. Yours truly actually produces Organic House. And so it’s always super refreshing to find a properly catchy Organic track. Well, lo and behold, Cielo‘s latest piece, ‘Nectarine‘.

Involving a range of natural-sounding elements and the grooviest, sweetest percussion, ‘Nectarine’ is a tranquil track, one that calls for a summer-inspired cocktail by the sea. Press ‘Play’ below and see for yourself.
