CampINN, the beloved Dirtybird collaborative hotel takeover event comes to an end after a remarkable run of three years. The festival brought Home Bass with the minds of Dirtybird Records together for a unique experience in Florida.
The team took to social media to post their official comment.
What was CampINN?
CampINN was the luxury counterpart of the Dirtybird Campout. It was held from 2021 to 2023 at The Wyndham Resort in Orlando, Florida. Attendees of the past editions experienced stacked lineups featuring the best from Dirtybird. The East Coast festival was filled with house, techno and bass throughout the weekend. It also included surprises and fun activities to participate in. The experience was intimate and different from other festivals.
Dirtybird has had a difficult year that started with the postponed Campout last year and now the cancellation of CampINN. The official reason given to fans on the festival not returning in the foreseeable future coincides with label-founder Claude VonStroke’s decision to step down from his role at Dirtybird. The producer will be focusing on his Barclay Crenshaw project, inclined towards bass and hip-hop.
As you may have heard I’m going on hiatus as Claude VonStroke next year. I’m so excited to focus on my birth-name project, Barclay Crenshaw. Welcome to any new followers who have come over from the VonStroke or Dirtybird pages. A new bass era begins!
Claude VonStroke’s social media statement
The Dirtybird imprint based in San Francisco has grown tremendously with Crenshaw’s style of tech house gaining popularity during the 2010-2015 phase. The Campout festival on both the US coasts helped gain the brand popularity as well. Crenshaw has not indicated when his Claude VonStroke alias will return.
For now stay tuned to EDMTunes for the updates on Barclay Crenshaw embarking on this new project in 2024. Get ready for the new music and hopefully tour dates in the near future.
