EDMTunes Tasty Tunes Tuesday – Week 48

Listen to the most flavour-packed tracks we discovered halfway through this week.

Music makes the world go round. And in that regard, we’re constantly on the lookout for new, exciting tunes to share with our audience. We’ve found some that cause goosebumps, and make you open your eyes and get up from your chair to dance. So put on your best pair of headphones, or turn up your speakers, and enjoy this week’s Tasty Tunes Tuesday.

Here are our top picks for the best music we came across this week, in no particular order.

Dunes of Dawn – Instinct

Genre: Minimal Techno, Tech House

Underground party duo Dunes of Dawn are known for a blend of different shades of Dance music. Anything from House to Techno to Breakbeat, you’ve come to the right place.

Their latest release is called ‘Instinct‘. Unveiled as part of prestigious label Factory 93’s compilation MODULE 4, the track is dynamic, dark, melodic, and showcases a lovely Minimal aura.

VANES – Hear Me

Genre: Melodic Techno

VANES was founded three years ago, in the search for Deep Progressive Trance. The idea behind it is to put out music that is as entertaining as it is mature, sober and intellectual.

VANES just kicked off his very own record label, CONCEPTIONS. ‘Hear Me‘, the track we’re sharing with you, is part of his debut album Red Illusions, piece released, of course, in this new space. Have a listen to the LP below.

FALCODAXY – MAGNUS

Genre: Dubstep, Brostep

FALCODAXY is the new neighbour in the Industry. Bringing over a fresh set of sounds, blends and styles, the French producer is sure to become a force to be reckoned with in the near future.

“There is no track that sounds like ‘MAGNUS‘”, he says. And we’d have to nod our heads. Kicking off with a trumpet melody that is an in-between Mariachi and Cuban style, the tune swiftly becomes a hard Dubstep composition.

LUM!X feat. Jordan Rys – Fireflies

Genre: Big Room, Electro Pop

You have to have been living under a rock for decades if you haven’t heard of the original ‘Fireflies‘ before. “You would not believe your eyes…“, yeah, that one. Get ready for a hot new take on one of the most renowned tracks from 2009.

Powerhouse LUM!X is on creative duties this time. Teaming up with the sweet voice of Jordan Rys, they’ve come up with a four-on-the-floor, fast-paced version of the Owl City classic. You have to listen to it in order to understand.

W&W & KEVU – Incoming

Genre: Big Room

Close your eyes and imagine it’s 2014 all over again. Remember the melodies, the buildups, and, of course, the domination of the Big Room style over any other genre in festivals and clubs alike. Well, imagine no more, for a track nearly ten years later evokes the same emotions.

Living legends W&W and KEVU recently joined forces to craft the definitive revival of Big Room House. The song’s title is ‘Incoming!‘, and so is its attitude. Enjoy the unmatched energy of an era that left us too soon (open for debate on that one).

Detone & Ryder DJ – So Late

Genre: Melodic Techno, Deep House

Today’s final track comes from not one, not two, but three minds. On one hand we have Minimal & House duo Detone, a pair of Dutch producers looking to shock the world. Ryder DJ, on the other hand, has been a part of the scene for well over a decade, and has graced various iconic venues with his music.

The clashing of two masters at work, Detone and Ryder’s ‘So Late‘ presents us with an aura of mystery over an infectious House beat. It’s chill yet dynamic, simple yet intelligent, and the soft vocals add even more layers of depth to an already outstanding composition. The track is a part of Detone’s Do This Right EP. Check it out in full below.
