Techno goddess Nicole Moudaber teams up with The London Community Gospel Choir for ‘Rise Up’. The song marks Moudaber’s official debut on Danny Howard‘s label, Nothing Else Matters.
Over a year in the making, the sublime single has been a true labour of love for Moudaber, who speaks of the Soul Providers’ original as a record that she has had an immense connection with throughout her clubbing days. Always a dream of hers to work on, Nicole reached out to the London Community Gospel Choir to re-record the lyrics, recording together with them in the studio back home in London. Bringing together the choir’s soulful vocals with her own unique blend of stomping Techno, with ‘Rise Up’ Nicole effortlessly reimagines the original into a forward-thinking Techno anthem, laced with the perfect hint of dancefloor nostalgia.
“This single has always resonated with me on a deeply personal level, but it is also so relatable on a universal level – considering all that is happening in the world right now“, says Moudaber. She adds,
“The message ‘Rise, Rise Up, Dust off and do it again’ is such a powerful message: together we can come together and Rise Up to the next level. We recorded with 8 members of the London Community Gospel Choir and let me tell I had GOOSEBUMPS! I think we made a little piece of magic that day. I am so happy you guys can all finally hear it“
