In a recent social media update, Barclay Crenshaw announced his decision to temporarily step away from his Claude VonStroke artist persona, redirecting his attention towards his birth name project, Barclay Crenshaw.
Under Barclay Crenshaw, he last released his single titled ‘Duh’ which used unique sample manipulations of the word ‘duh’ and a fun and quirky groove to accompany this novel production. He also released his remix of the track ‘McDonalds’ by Yung Skrrt and a single titled ‘The Baddest’ featuring Cam & China. He released his first and only self titled album in 2017 providing an insight into his multifaceted artistry and creativity.
As Claude VonStroke, the successful artist, producer and DJ has toured all over the world and has made his mark as a prominent figure in house music. Noteworthy experiences in his career involve collaborating on projects alongside Bootsy Collins, Rihanna, Disclosure, and Kevin Saunderson, resulting in several chart-topping hits. His collaboration with Green Velvet in the duo GET REAL has blossomed into a deeply fulfilling friendship. Claude VonStroke created a small underground record label called Dirtybird in 2005 and grew it into a full-fledged events, clothing and music brand over the last 15 years. In 2015, VonStroke initiated his inaugural festival, Dirtybird Campout, a distinctive event combining games and activities with top-tier underground house and bass music. VonStroke expresses gratitude for the opportunity to curate, create, and perform music professionally, recognizing that people attend parties to revel in the joy of dancing and having a good time.
