A multitude of brilliant minds collide for a single we’ve been waiting for since, at least, EDC Las Vegas.
This is a piece of news for those who love a beautifully crafted piece of art every now and then. Followers of Anjunabeats and Ophelia alike, get ready for what’s sure to become one of the most emblematic collaborations of the entire year. Melodic Dubstep legend Seven Lions meets Trance leaders Above & Beyond for an electric track, ‘Over Now‘.
Counting with the vocals of Sam Burger from the South African band Opposite The Other, ‘Over Now’ is the spiritual follow-up to ‘See The End‘, a track released in 2019, and which featured the exact same faces. Publicly announced for the first time during Above & Beyond’s EDC Las Vegas 2023 set, the track was labelled as an ID in the tracklist. Paavo, though, wrote on the EDCLV screen how it was a jam between them and Jeff.

The Announcement
The boys took it to Instagram to make a little teaser about the track, featuring images from their moment together at The Gorge for this year’s ABGT Weekender, and both of their logos. With that also announcing the release date of the awaited collaboration: September 22nd. Above & Beyond, Seven Lions, and Opposite The Other’s 2019 collaborative debut ‘See The End’ saw great numbers, becoming the #1 airplay record on the Mediabase Dance Chart and racking up over 19M streams on Spotify alone to date. Their next chapter promises to be as good as the first.
Songwriter and vocalist Sam Burger, the voice of ‘Opposite The Other’, is no stranger to making world-class music either. Under the band, he has supported acts like The Cure, Bastille, and The Lumineers, and teamed up with Seven Lions on a handful of songs. He is also part of the cast of the — on hold since 2020 — Acoustic III project for Above & Beyond.
