The Weeknd, one of pop music’s top vocalists, said that he will not make any more features unless the Daft Punk duo reunite. After performing at his latest ‘After Hours Til Dawn’ show in Warsaw, The Weeknd stated that he is putting off on doing any more features for the time being. One of The Weeknd’s most popular features is ‘I Feel It Coming’ with Daft Punk back in 2016. The next year, the pop-R&B icon performed alongside the legendary French electronic disco duo at the Grammys. Speaking of Daft Punk, back in May, the duo released the 10th Anniversary edition of Random Access Memories, which came out in 2013 and remains to this day, their last studio album.

A possible reunion between The Weeknd and Daft Punk may happen one day

In early 2021, music fans around the world, regardless of what genre they prefer, had a lot of shocks when they heard the news that Daft Punk officially split. The duo of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo had produced some of the best French house music since they began teaming up in 1993.

From Paris to New York City, from Tokyo to Mexico City, Daft Punk thrilled audiences for 28 years with memorable bangers such as ‘One More Time’ and ‘Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger’. With comments from The Weeknd that stated that he will not make more features unless Daft Punk reconnect, one can only imagine the cheers that will occur if Abel Tesfaye himself appear on stage with two cool robot helmet-wearing Parisian guys once again.
