This weekend marks the return of 88rising’s annual Head in the Clouds festival taking place at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. The festival is an opportunity to celebrate Asian culture and highlight incredible Asian artists from all over the world. The artists will be performing across 3 stages throughout the weekend but we’re here to help you breakdown the 5 artists you should keep an eye out for at this year’s festival.

YOASOBI

This duo from Japan will amaze you with their impressive ability to infuse various musical elements to produce some of the best music you will hear at this year’s festival. YOASOBI has been named the most streamed Japanese artist on Spotify in the oversees market and their song ‘Monster’ was named a top 10 song of 2021 by Time Magazine. The Japanese duo will be performing on Sunday on the 88rising Stage at 6:55PM.

ZEDD

This year’s special guest will be superstar DJ and producer, Zedd. He’s produced some of the most recognizable songs in the world and have collaborated with the biggest artists such as Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez and many more. You can expect Zedd to put on another spectacular performance this Saturday at 7:30PM on the 88rising stage.

NIKI

One of the leading artists on the 88rising label is none other than NIKI. Her angelic voice has elevated her to superstardom since her debut with 88rising. She was unable to perform at last year’s festival due to testing positive for COVID so you can expect her to go above and beyond for her fans this coming Sunday on the 88rising Stage at 8:05PM.

BEAUZ

The brother duo consisting of Johan and Bernie Yang are set to make their Head in the Clouds debut this year and this is one set you do not want to miss. They’ve put out some of the most impressive tracks in recent times including their collaboration with Zedd and Maren Morris called ‘Make You Say’ and their recent collab called ‘Right Before Our Eyes’ with Elephante and Mark Tuan. BEAUZ will be performing at the Eternal Energy Dance Tent on Sunday at 3:45PM.

Jackson Wang

Jackson has become one of the most recognizable Asian artists in the entire world since his days with GOT7. His Magic Man performance that he has been putting on for fans across the world and most recently at Coachella has been nothing short of spectacular. Infusing magic tricks with his dance moves inspired by Michael Jackson, there is no doubt Jackson Wang will be one of the most exciting acts at this year’s festival. Catch him close out the 88rising stage this Saturday at 10:05PM.
