The official biography of the late Swedish megastar is officially out. The book offers a new perspective on the life of Tim Bergling before he took his life three years ago. Tim – The Official Biography of Avicii was written by Swedish journalist Måns Mosesson. Even though the book came out a year later than anticipated, many copies should be sold in the upcoming weeks.
As stated above, the hardcover book gives an honest picture of Avicii’s life. However, it is “not shying from the difficulties that he struggled with”. This result comes from the unique access Måns Mosesson was given to Tim’s own notes, as well as interviews with the producer’s family, friends, and colleagues. In fact, fans will have an insight into the artist as they’ve never had before. As an EDM enthusiast, this sounds like a must-read.
The beginning of the synopsis reads “The intimate biography of the iconic DJ who was lost too soon”. Nobody can disagree with that statement. The rest goes like this :
“Like a firework against the night sky, the DJ and producer Tim Bergling exploded onto the music scene. A musical visionary who, through his sense for melodies, came to define the era when Swedish and European house music took over the world.”
“But Tim Bergling was also an introverted and fragile young man who was forced to grow up at an inhumanly fast pace. After a series of emergencies resulting in hospital stays, he stopped touring in the summer of 2016. Barely two years later, he took his own life.”
Proceeds from the book will go to the Tim Bergling Foundation. The book comes out one day before ‘Together for a better day’, a show presented by the foundation at Avicii Arena in Sweden.
