Joseph Capriati Releases New Album, ‘Metamorfosi’

Joseph Capriati dropped his anticipated album, Metamorfosi, and the physical LP will be released later this month.

Whether at a festival in Europe, the desert at Burning Man, or a club late at night, Joseph Capriati continues to prove that he is one of the best house to techno DJ and producer. The Italian talent is also supported by names like Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, and Maro Carola. He now dropped a new album called Metamorfosi.

It’s been three years since Capriati’s last album, and he took this time for self- reflection. Metamorfosi describes the artist’s music evolution, the result of both personal and musical development.

“It is definitely not a pure dancefloor record. It is diverse, which for me is the spirit of an album. I really hope that people will get the message.”

Metamorfosi album tracks and collaborators

The 12- track album is released on his imprint, Redimension Music. Moreover, it has collaborators such as Louie Vega and Eric Kupper. The first track, ‘Impreovvisazione‘, works as a cover letter for listeners with characteristic sounds from him.

While the thudding bassline of ‘Beautiful Morning‘ will make anyone’s head move, ‘Goa’ will fill souls with plenty of energy and kicks. Tracks like ‘Spirit Brothers‘ with Louie Vega showcase the solid house skills that Capriati also holds.

The album also refers to the musical roots of Naples, a place rich with musical movements and genres. An example of this is the track ‘New Horizons‘ with James Senese, an Italian Blues legend. It contains a techno version that stands for Joseph while the original stands for James Senese.

Vinyl release, CD, and cassette for the album will be out on the 18th of September.
