Pasquale Rotella Announces Theme for EDC 2020

Pasquale Rotella, Founder, and CEO of Insomniac Events, just unveiled the theme for Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas. With mindfulness we welcome kineticZen. Pasquale addressed headliners via Instagram by posting the following announcement:

Introducing the theme for 2020’s EDC… ✨kineticZEN🙏 In our hyperconnected world, it’s easy to get distracted from making time to care for our minds, our bodies, and things that feed the soul. In 2019, we harnessed the collective intensity of our culture at the kineticFIELD when we debuted kineticENERGY. This year, we celebrate mindfulness with kineticZEN. Anything that fuels our focus and helps us achieve balance is our zen. For some people, that could be dancing, working out, going for a bike ride or a long drive, or just chilling on the beach and taking in a beautiful sunset. I’ve always tried to encourage Headliners to live in the moment and be present. I need reminders myself each day. Life is full of opportunities for reflection, and in those moments we can visualize the world we want to create for ourselves and for each other. Keep Calm and Party On.

Basically, the Insomniac team realized the world needed a breather, and honestly, we’re here for it. For those that don’t know, each year EDC receives a new theme for the festival. The theme then manifests itself in various areas of the event. The most noticeable being Kinetic Field. The mega stage receives a full redesign each year in order to match the festivals creative direction. In recent years, designs have included kineticGAIA (2017), kineticLOVE (2018), and kineticENERGY (2019). KineticZen (2020) looks to fit right in as the teaser artwork dropped by insomniac showcase what looks to be a literal flower child.

EDC Las Vegas continues to surprise headliners year after year as the world’s largest dance music festival looks to expand once again. The sold-out event will celebrate its 10th year at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway May 15–17, 2020. And while many details about the festival are still under wraps, we can sleep in peace knowing that the vibes of kineticZen will be anything but mellow.
