Beyond Wonderland SoCal Expands to NOS Speedway

Beyond Wonderland SoCal is moving! In fact, it’s moving next door. Insomniac recently announced that they will be using the speedway adjacent to the NOS Event Center. The NOS Center is the typical home for Insomniac’s Southern California events, but it looks like things may start to change as ticket sales continue to grow. The Orange Show Speedway allows for more space for festival goers to roam and for production to use. It will be the first time in 10 years that Insomniac will use this space for stages. The last time the speedway was used was for Nocturnal Wonderland in 2009.

With such a big and open venue, production now has a blank canvas to create magic with. The world’s largest megastructure, Queen’s Domain, will make its return with new production. Mad Hatter’s Castle will also be expanding, which Insomniac hinted will be in a never before used area. The stage will be hosted by Dreamstate and Insomniac Records. Caterpillar’s Garden, hosted by Bassrush and Audiotistic, will be housed in a mini megastructure. Additionally, Beyond is acquiring a brand new stage this year called The Looking Glass, which will be hosted by Diplo‘s Higher Ground label.

Regarding activities, Insomniac is adding carnival rides such as the Flying Elephant Ride and a Wonder Wheel. Grassy, enchanted playgrounds with special guest DJs await, as well as secret hideouts and hidden bars. If this is starting to sound a lot like an adult Alice in Wonderland amusement park, then you are one of the lucky many that have been captured by Insomniac’s beautiful vision.

Pasquale Heard and Listened…

It seems that Pasquale and the Insomniac team have certainly been listening to the conversations people have been having. Festival goers continue to enjoy the experience but are sometimes discouraged by the amount of people packing the stages. With the event expanding into larger grounds, people will be able to immerse themselves comfortably in the Alice in Wonderland psychedelic experience that is Beyond Wonderland.

Beyond Wonderland SoCal will take place March 20-21. Tickets are still available on Insomniac’s website here. Don’t miss the chance to experience the first return of the Speedway since 2009!
