Martin Garrix Wins Best Electronic Award at MTV EMAs

He may have lost his DJ Mag Top 100 #1 three-year streak, but he’s set up a throne elsewhere. Over the past weekend, Martin Garrix received an award for the Best Electronic category at the MTV Europe Music Awards. Other contenders for the Best Electronic category included The Chainsmokers, Calvin Harris, DJ Snake and Marshmello.

Currently on tour in China, Garrix was not able to attend the award ceremony that took place in Spain. However, he did celebrate the occasion by posting a cute video to thank all his fans who had voted.

“Yo guys, it’s Martin. Thank you so much for voting me Best Electronic at the 2019 MTV EMAs. I’m sorry I couldn’t be there tonight, but your support means the world to me. And once again, thank you so much. Love you guys, and have an amazing night!”

Just last Friday, the Dutch talent had also released his latest single “Used to Love,” an uplifting tune produced together with Dean Lewis.
