Diplo Teases the Return of Jack Ü in 2020

Jack Ü is one of the side projects for DJ and producers Diplo and Skrillex. This project is loved by fans, but hasn’t been around for a few years. Previously, Jack Ü has won Grammys for Best Dance/Electronic Album and Best Dance Recording in 2016. Fans were heartbroken when the duo went on a hiatus that year.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Diplo talks a lot about the Grammys since the first-round Grammy voting is currently in progress through the 10th. Regarding Jack Ü, Diplo states,

“[The return] Could be next year. I think Skrillex has a lot of material he’s been gearing to release. When that happens I think we might be able to do some new stuff, but I’ve worked on a lot of ideas for the project. It’s all in due time. There’s not any rush for it or anything.”

Back in July, Diplo also seemed to tease that we would be getting more Jack Ü. For the the time being though, Diplo has been working on his Thomas Wesley side project and producing a song for The Jonas Brothers. Skrillex has also had quite the year, releasing new music and making appearances at a handful of festivals. Most recently, Skrillex produced FKA Twig’s latest song, ‘Holy Terrain’ and played at 1Oak in Tokyo, as well as Electric Zoo. We hope that we’ll see the return of Jack Ü in due time. Until then, we can only stay hopeful and be patient.
