Steve Aoki Calls Flume’s Burning Man Video “Bold”

It’s been a couple weeks since the famous video of Flume at Burning Man surfaced. However, Steve Aoki (like many other DJs) has now weighed in on the matter in a recent interview.

In a new interview with the Australian Publication Goat, interviewer Alexander Pan brought up Flume’s viral video. Pan filled Aoki in on the video while talking about stage antics. The DJ had nothing but nice things to say about Flume and his Burning Man activities.

“Wow, that’s bold, I think that’s badass,” exclaims Aoki, “I think it’s cool when people do something that’s outside their comfort zone.”

While Aoki is well-known for throwing cake into faces at his shows, he said he can’t compete with Flume. When asked what the craziest thing he’s done on stage was, he responded with, “Flume wins“.

Aoki went as far as to say that the video is “something that’ll go down in the history books for all DJs“.

In addition to weighing in on Flume, Aoki’s Goat interview talks about his song with the Backstreet Boys titled ‘Let it Be Me’.

While Aoki commends Flume on the Burning Man video, its safe to say he’s going to stick to throwing cakes instead of eating them on stage.
