[WATCH] Habstrakt Releases “The One” Music Video On Monstercat

Habstrakt returns to Monstercat with another high-energy, genre-defying club track, “The One,” along with his first official music video. The new single delivers massive firing power from the French artist’s electro-infused bass house sounds. Directed and edited by Winterhalter and Habstrakt, the music packs an accommodating visual aesthetic to the adrenaline-packed single.

Following his recent single, “Lasagne,” Habstrakt’s arsenal of bass empowered music continuous to stay ablaze. With releases on Monstercat and “De la Street” on NGHTMRE & Slander’s Gud Vibrations label, “The One” is definitely another heater. The music video goes hand-in-hand with the cruising bassline of the song. Amidst a grungey urban setting, the video drives through scenes starring a crew cruising through the streets of Downtown Los Angeles, leading into a Mad Max-esque open desert landscape. Much like the song’s distorted female vocals amidst intense kick-drums and toplines, the video also features a woman doing interpretive dancing surrounded by a grungy concrete jungle.

Since 2008, Habstrakt’s sound emerged from dubstep and drum & bass, which has evolved into his eclectic bass house sound today. The French artist’s prudent methods of manipulating bass sounds are continuously evolving. With multiple songs released this year, 2019 is a fantastic year for Habstrakt so far. Having multiple releases on labels like Tchami’s Confession, Tiesto’s Musical Freedom, and Spinnin’ Records, “The One” music video offers a better look into the sleek aesthetics behind the creation of his sound.

“I’ve been holding onto this one for a while, worked and reworked it a thousand times, and I’m so excited to finally release it. The moment I heard these vocals from Pauline Herr, I knew something huge was going to happen!”
