North Coast Music Festival Attracts Fans of All Genres Labor Day Weekend

The temps are, sadly, slowly falling and it’s becoming increasingly noticeable that the sun is setting earlier and earlier. It’s time to make the most of the remaining days.

One way to accomplish that is by checking North Coast Music Festival in at the historic Northerly Island, just minutes from Soldier Field.

For the first time in its 9 year tenure, NCMF has moved from its normal venue, Union Park, to the scenic lakefront venue. Additionally, the festival recently changed promotors and are now partnered with Live Nation which prompted some other changes.

Besides the venue change, the festival is now held over two days instead of three. While many may have been shocked with decision, the lineup shows possible reasons for that.

There will be no shortage of Bassnectar apparel being worn on the first day of the festival. Lorin Ashton’s fans, Bassheads, flock to as many performances that their normal lives will let them. Along with the bass king, Trampa, Dirt Monkey, and Flux Pavilion will provide support for the infamous headliner. Wooli, who recently collaborated with Seven Lions, will bring more of his unique glitchy dubstep sounds to The Hangar stage.

Moving away from dubstep, SoDown will bring his sax talents to Chicago. Yung Bae is also someone to check out! Mixing disco, funky, and R&B, this Portland-based producer will provide some positive feelings amongst the crowd on Friday.

The next day, it’s important to arrive early for Birthdayy Partyy! The duo, from an early age, fell in love with creating bass-boosted projects. They have soared since 2018, booking gigs across the US and show no sign of slowing down. i_o. the mysterious techno artist that has performed now with Testpilot, Deadmau5, and Rezz, will be coming on The Hangar stage early in the evening.

A special live set from well-respected Gorgon City will warm up the audience for their decision to either attend Jauz or Major Lazer to close out the festival.

Some ticket tiers for NCMF have sold out, but many are still left (be careful of scammers!). They can be purchased here!

Enjoy the time we have left of the best season on Earth! Although, can we have Flux Pavilion play on The Pavilion stage, please?! 🙂
