Netflix Releases Trailer for Fyre Festival-Inspired Thriller ‘The I-Land’

Waiting for a new show to watch?  Well you’re in luck.  Netflix has just released a teaser trailer for upcoming miniseries The I-Land, a science-fiction show that seems to be Fyre Festival on steroids.  Oh, and add a dash of Lost and Hunger Games too.  And Cabin in the Woods.

Let’s not jump to conclusions, but the show does seem to draw uncanny parallels to Billy McFarland’s disastrous festival, which notoriously left thousands of festival attendees stranded on Exuma in the Bahamas in 2017.  Except in this show, things seem to take an even darker turn.

According to Netflix’s official description, “ten people wake up on a treacherous island with no memory of who they are and how they got there, [and] they set off on a trek to try to get back home, only to discover the world is not as it seems.”

Starring Kate Bosworth, Natalie Martinez and Alex Pettyfer, The I-Land will be set to premiere on September 12 on Netflix.  While we countdown to the official release, check out the trailer for The I-Land below!
