4 Can’t-Miss Artists at Beyond Wonderland

We know the big players: Armin van Buuren, Deadmau5, Seven Lions, Zhu, JOYRYDE, and a slew of others. But all of these Main Stage stars started from humble beginnings. In their own rooms. Playing 30-minute mop-up sets at 5AM. Or, if they were lucky, playing side stages at larger festivals.

This begs the question: who are the next wave of artists to take over the scene? EDMTunes has some “Can’t-Miss” high-rising artists that you should plan into your Beyond Wonderland experience. Here we go:

i_o

The “Dark Lord” of techno has seen his stock rise by leaps and bounds over the past two years. With a “don’t give a shit” persona and some filthy techno beats, there is a lot to love from an i_o set. He manages to control the crowd with varying levels of connection, ranging from heavy hitters like ‘On Acid‘ to trancier melodies like ‘Feel You Now.’ While techno is his home base, he offers something for everyone – just give a listen to his remix of ‘Alchemy‘ by Above & Beyond below and you’ll hear the magic we are talking about. Input i_o into your festival app as soon as the new download is available.

Cold Blue

Storming the trance world, Cold Blue has become a force to be reckoned with. Both uplifting and powerful, Cold Blue possesses this rare combination that has propelled him to global stardom. Gaining momentum at festivals such as Tomorrowland, EDC Las Vegas, and Dreamstate SoCal, his sound continues to evolve with each release. His latest release on Subculture ‘Another Life‘ is a true triumph, and rumors of his first artist album mean that his Beyond set may feature lots of tasty IDs.

Wenzday

At 16 years old, this classically trained vocalist moved to Los Angeles to pursue DJing full time. Fast-forward a few years, and all Wenzday has done is started her own clothing company, killed it at clubs all over the world, and bring a refreshing change of pace sound to the bass house scene. One of her latest releases, ‘China 2 LA,’ is a monster tune with Main Stage appeal. Huge beats and filthy remixes make Wenzday one of the most sought after acts in the business. With her – Every Day is Wenzday.

ATTLAS

ATTLAS continues to toy the fine line between melodic and darkness, and man, he does it with class. His varying productions and eclectic sound will have you guessing from track to track. Yet somehow, his live sets come together beautifully. Imagine Lane 8 with some Deadmau5 nastiness, and you will start getting the picture of what ATTLAS brings to the table. His latest Charcoal Halo EP is a little slice of heaven, offering an uplifting take and showing his range splendidly.

So there you have it – four “Can’t-Miss” artists at Beyond Wonderland. Agree with this list? Who did we miss? Who are you excited for?
