Swedish House Mafia Signed to New Management

New Management For The Swedes

Lest we forget the grand entrance Swedish House Mafia made last year at Ultra Miami. What a way to tell the world that they were back after a 5-year hiatus. Closing in on almost a year since the big reveal, fans have been keeping a close eye since. In the midst of rumors regarding a possible residency at Las Vegas club, XS, we witness other changes happening with this trailblazing EDM trio. One of which is being under the care of new management, Patriot Management.

Patriot Management stands as a force to be reckoned with as they have an incredible roster. It includes the likes of Pharrell Williams, Backstreet Boys, Ryan Tedder, and OneRepublic. Music manager, Ron Lafitte, has also climbed on-board after Swedish House Mafia parted ways with longtime manager, Amy Thompson.

There seems to be major behind-the-scene construction underway, as SHM still currently stands without a record label. According to Hits Daily Double, music executives from all corners of the world have been flocking to Stockholm in hopes to score a deal. While releases may temporarily be put under hold until they choose their best fit, fans can be relieved to know that they’ve definitely been working hard in the studio. In an interview with W&W on Rave Culture Radio, Willem van Hanegem of W&W shared his excitement:

WE ACTUALLY TALKED TO AXWELL AND SEBASTIAN INGROSSO ABOUT THE SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA REUNION, AND THEY SAID THEY’VE GOT LOTS OF NEW MUSIC COMING.

Whether Swedish House Mafia ends up with a residency in wake of the XS announcements, there are only a handful of tour dates currently on their 2019 roster. With an apparent cargo of music releases on its way, we can surely expect a lot more surprises from them in 2019.
