Native American political provacateur, Nathan Phillips, made headlines everywhere after he approached and attempted to spark a confrontation with of a group of High School students singing pep-rally cheers in MAGA hats. While Phillips’ his account of events has come under intense scrutiny since the video spread, his face has become so recognizable now that a funny connection was discovered.
Skrillex fans might know Phillips from his starring role in the music video for ‘Make It Bun Dem’ featuring Damian Marley. In the video Philips is shown waiting on the front porch, as a younger family member arrives home and goes into the backyard to perform a rain dance. This video depicts a conflict between citizens losing their homes and the officers seeking to evict them.
