Woodstock’s 50th Anniversary To Be Held At Same Venue As Original Event

The original Woodstock took place in 1969, and has forever lived in infamy as one of the original and much-loved US festivals. The recent announcement of the event’s return has kept fans on the edge of their seats awaiting more details. Well, good news – we have more details for you.

Luckily, it has been confirmed that festival will take place August 16 – 18, 2019. It’ll be located at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, in Bethel, New York – the same site of the original Woodstock. This event, however, will not be named Woodstock or referred to as the 50th anniversary. It also won’t be called Journey On, as seen on a few already-leaked flyers.

There are similarities to the original Woodstock event. It will be known as “a celebration of music, culture and community, featuring live music acts, talks and special exhibitions.” However, new info claims that the event is in no way affiliated with the Woodstock brand or its co-founder, Michael Lang.

Stayed tuned to find out more details about the highly anticipated return of Woodstock.
