Newly Surfaced Avicii Lyrics Seems to Describe His Personal Struggles

Since Avicii passed away people have been searching for potential music he was working on. Recently, newly discovered lyrics were released and the track seems to describe his internal struggles. The True Stories documentary allowed us to see the rise and fall of Tim Bergling. As more songs get released we get to dive into what he was thinking the months before his death. It has been reported that a posthumous album will be getting released this year.

There is a common theme throughout the untitled song, using lines that make us wonder about the internal conflicts he was going through.

“we don’t get to die young / We just have to push on / We don’t get to give up this life”

After his death, I listened to one of his most famous tracks and a personal favorite “Wake Me Up”. I believe that is the song that truly describes how he was feeling throughout his career. You only really get to put the pieces together after such an unfortunate event. I do expect some of his new songs to have similar themes to the classic track.

This new song allows us to paint another picture of him. Music released posthumously can be tricky. As reported by Variety, there are a lot of variables that go into the decision to ultimately release the music. It does seem like Tim’s family is going to release the music this year. We are all very excited for that day to come. It will allow Avicii to continue to live on inside us and give us a chance to hear him one more time.

Avicii Untitled song

Crossbows and arrows
The smoke in the shadows
You’ll lose your mind
Standing on the battle line
Starting to choke on
Your heart in your throat and
It feels just like
You can’t remember how to fight

We’ll crack before we shatter
We can’t fall apart
We don’t get to die young
Trouble keeping our head sometimes
We just have to push on
We don’t get to give up this life
All the breath in your lungs
Is stronger than the tears in your eyes
It’s do or die
But we’re alive
And while we’re here
Will hold the line

Don’t hold your hands up
It’s your final stand
Put your white flag down
Oh don’t you surrender now
No hero’s story
There’s no blaze of glory
But dawn only comes
At the end of the night

We’ll crack before we shatter
We can’t fall apart
We don’t get to die young
Trouble keeping our head sometimes
We just have to push on
We don’t get to give up this life
All the breath in your lungs
Is stronger than the tears in your eyes
It’s do or die
But we’re alive
And while we’re here
Will hold the line
