MUTEK’s First United States Events Hits San Francisco This Week

MUTEK – the festival known for its avant-garde programming and spotlights on diverse artists across both electronic music and digital art – has hosted its flagship event in Montreal annually since 2000 and has since expanded to North and South America, Asia and Europe. The internationally renowned brand kicks off its first event in the United States later this week in the cultural hub of San Francisco.

MUTEK.SF starts this Thursday, May 3rd and continues through Sunday, May 6th as it takes over numerous diverse venues across the city, including Heron Arts, Mezzanine, Gray Area Grand Theatre, The Midway, Bimbo’s, the California Academy of Sciences and more. The list of artists performing is vast and impressive, including Vague Terrain, Bezier, Aux 88, Jackie House, Topazu and Telefon Tel Aviv.

The inaugural event offers four tracks of performances: Digi Lab, A/Visions, Nocture, and Experience. You can expect a carefully crafted combination of panel discussions and food vendors, electronic music performances, art installations and much more.
