KANDY – Feelin’ KNT
New York DJ Kevin Schuppel, known better as KANDY has been doing it big for the past few years. He adds a little bit of edge to the tracks he remixes giving them a grimier sound. Having already played at Ultra Music Festival and with a mind-boggling amount of remixes and originals, KANDY is proving that he’s a force to be reckoned with. Now the DJ has taken a groundbreaking step in his career by a releasing a completely original track that is his announcement to the world that he is coming out.
The track is FIERCE. Named ‘Feelin KNT‘, it serves a vogue-house anthem with a pounding beat. It possesses that grimy dark sound KANDY has become known for but what sets it apart is that you can literally here his confidence through the track. The vocal is spoken with attitude and the accompanying house beat adds a finishing touch.
Accompanying the release of ‘Feeling KNT’ is two videos. One shows KANDY coming out to his mother, and the other is the official music video showcasing members of NYC’s LGBTQ community showing the love, passion, and pride they have for being who they are.
“Feeling Kunt” is my first release since coming out to my family. This release means more to me than anything I’ve released in the past because it is the first time I’ve been able to be my most authentic self. This has given me the confidence I’ve been searching for for such a long time.
It’s extremely important to me to show the dance music community that it is okay to be who you are and to not let anyone or anything keep you from expressing your true self.”
