Coming hot off the heels of his remix of Drake’s ‘God’s Plan‘, Colorado-based producer Thoreau is back with another hit. This time featuring the vocals of Chloe Tang, ‘Off My Back‘Â is a tastefully crafted future bass anthem.
Thoreau’s knack for making music come alive is never more apparent than in this release. Spacious synths blast their way at the forefront of the mix, and the vocal chops dazzle their way over the top. The percussions in this track also make a true statement, with every hit locking down and emphasizing the emotional character of the track. Just as the drop makes its exit, the second verse gives the vocals a chance to come to the forefront and sing some truly touching lyrics. This carries the energy through until the second drop where those monumental chords come back in full force.
