XXYYXX – I Don’t feat. $k

Orlando beatmaker XXYYXX surprised fans today by releasing his first track in nearly two years.

Known for his seminal self-titled album, released in 2012, XXYYXX defined a Florida electronic scene still in its infancy 6 years ago. He’s become equally known for the long delays between releases as he is for some of the highest quality beats in the game, generally choosing to take the less is more approach. Which, to be fair, is probably the right idea considering a vast amount of producers trying to stick to the ‘one release a month’ rule and just releasing piles of mediocre, cookie cutter material.

The same can’t be said for Marcel Everett’s ‘I Don’t’ – a track that effortlessly blends the chilled out, vaporwave style he’s known for with a a dash of en vogue future bass vocal manipulation and sultry, pop leaning R&B, courtesy of rapper $K.

In support of the surprise single, XXYYXX has also announced a North American tour, for which tickets go on sale on Thursday, here.
