Duke Dumont & Promnite Produce Katy Perry’s New Track

Katy Perry has gotten quite a bit of publicity lately by releasing some brand-new music alongside an interesting performance on Saturday Night Live. One of her brand new tracks that was just released, ‘Swish Swish (feat. Nicki Minaj)’ has some great electronic music producers behind it with Duke Dumont and Promnite.

The beat of the track clearly has electronic elements that can be heard almost immediately. The song gives off a deep house and UK garage feel, which is somewhat surprising as these styles are not what these producers usually create.

At the start of the song, a very familiar sample can be heard from Fatboy Slim’s track, ‘Star 69’ which was released in 2001.

Both producers took to twitter to announce that they were part of the major track and promnite even shared a warming text conversation with his dad.

This specific song has been making headlines as it is allegedly a diss track towards fellow pop star, Taylor Swift. You can download the supposed diss track featuring Duke Dumont and Promnite here.

The track is from Katy Perry’s forthcoming album, ‘Witness’ and can be heard below along with tweets from both the producers:
