EDMTunes’ Where-To-Be List For Halloween Weekend 2016

All Hallow’s Eve is arguably one of the biggest holidays for ravers. Coordinating with the squad, locking down your tickets, thinking up a costume, and knowing where to be are all top priorities as the weeks lead up to the big weekend. And while we at EDMTunes can’t really help with most of that, we can tell you the best places to be on the creepiest nights of the year.

Ghost Ship – San Fransisco

No other event puts art first more so than The Bay Area’s Ghost ship. And while this festival might be host to some of the most other-wordly creations from the area’s most esteemed visual artists, the acts coming through are phenomenal. The Dirtybird imprint is coming out in full force for this one, hosting the likes of Justin Martin, Ardalan, J.Phlip and more. Tickets are selling out fast, so lock in yours here.

Freaky Deaky – Chicago

Arguably the midwest’s most anticipated event of the year, Freaky Deaky returns yet again for a wild weekend. By the time Halloween has ended, the amount of FOMO going out from these events is unreal. This year Freaky Deaky is bringing in the likes of Tchami, Kill The Noise, Pegboard Nerds, and Nervo. Tickets are available here.

Escape: Psycho Circus – San Bernardino

Dance music meets American Horror Story in this frighteningly surreal experience. Some of the biggest acts in the industry are coming to fill these stages, and whoever attends will not be let down. Between Tiesto, Andrew Rayel, Richie Hawtin, Zomboy, and more, there is a little bit for everyone. Tickets available here. And if you need help prepping or pre-gaming for this one, they curated their own playlist for the event.

Voodoo Music & Art Experience – New Orleans

Held every year in New Orleans since 1999, Voodoo always does a fantastic job pulling in artists from a wide variety of genres. This year, Voodoo will continue that trend with headliners Tool, Arcade Fire and The Weeknd. Voodoo also features a dedicated stage (Le Plur) for electronic acts; this year Le Plur will feature The Chainsmokers, Porter Robinson, Excision, Gramatik, Alison Wonderland, Snails, Slander and What So Not, among many more. Tickets here.

Get Freaky – Salt Lake City

Salt Lake rarely gets the credit that it deserves when it comes to dance music. Flying under the radar, this major city often brings in some reputable events, and Get Freaky is no exception. All the big names like Gareth Emery, Zomboy, and Krewella will be throwing down some mean sets, so anyone looking to party in Utah for this weekend, definitely head here. Tickets are available here.

Freak Night – Seattle

The Pacific Northwest hosts some of the best events in North America thanks to USC Events. Their summertime festival, Paradiso, takes the cake for the warmer months, and Freak Night wins us all over during the rainier seasons. This multi-night Halloween extravaganza brings in some of the biggest names, and this year is no exception. Martin Garrix, Galantis, Zedd, and Armin will all be headlining this event, and seeing as it is the festival’s 20th anniversary, all attendees are sure in for something special. Tickets available here, and act fast as they are selling out.

Something Wicked – Houston

Insomniac’s staple festival in the heart of Texas. Taking over the Sam Houston Raceway for a couple of the scariest nights of your life. Diplo, Carnage, Hardwell, and more will be taking the stage for this fright-filled weekend. We all know Insomniac consistently throws some of the best parties in the game, so head over to their website for tickets.

Pier of Fear – New York City

New York has always been one of the best cities to party in, and always the best place to be on Halloween. Pier of Fear is hosting the likes of Adventure Club, Nicky Romero, and Borgeous. Although there may be a lot of events happening in New York this evening, Pier of Fear is the premier place to be on All Hallows Eve. Tickets are available here.

We will continue updating this list as we catch wind of more and more events. Halloween 2016 will be one for the books, and we hope you enjoy yours as much as we will. Be safe, and we will see you on the dance floor.
