Die Antwoord’s Yolandi Visser Says The Group Is Not Breaking Up

Yesterday, popular South African rap/rave group Die Antwoord sent social media into a frenzy after announcing that it would disband in 2017. Members Ninja and Yolandi Visser have never been strangers to controversy, so when the the act’s frontman told the world, “Die Antwoord dies on that day. It’s all over. I feel beautiful about it. I’m not scared of the end. I’m a Ninja. I’m not scared of death”, nobody really questioned it.

Well, just hours after the news went viral, frontwoman Yolandi Visser took to Instagram to clear the air. She denies the breakup and claims that the journalist twisted Ninja’s words. That being said, Yolandi did confirm Die Antwoord’s next album will be the last.

In a similar post, Ninja makes it clear that even though Die Antwoord is done with LPs, the group will continue to perform live shows, make music and release films.

It looks like Die Antwoord fans can sleep easy now. As for the haters, we’re sorry for delivering the bad news.
