All Felony Charges Against Insomniac CEO Pasquale Rotella Dropped

The trial of Pasquale Rotella, CEO of Insomniac Events, kicked off earlier this week – but it was short-lived, as the Los Angeles County District Attorney has dismissed all felony charges against him.

Rotella, along with Reza Germani, was accused of bribery and conspiracy to pay $1.9 million to Todd Stefano, a former Los Angeles Coliseum events manager, in exchange for his assistance in hosting events – namely, Electronic Daisy Carnival – at the stadium in 2012.

Rotella has agreed to pay $150,000 and serve three years of probation, and pleaded no contest to a single misdemeanor count of conflict-of-interest. All other charges were dropped.

In regards to the charges, Pasquale commented:

“I always knew the charges were politically motivated and publicity driven. While it’s taken too long to finally put this behind me, I can now focus my energy where it belongs: my family and my company. Thank you to everyone who has supported me through this.”
