Eric Sharp + Tenova – Hallucination
Brooklyn Fire continues to be one of the better labels in NYC for rage fuel. Their newest release “Hallucination” by Eric Sharp & Tenova is no exception. The strong bassline, mixed into the vocal line produces a set-ready track that’s smooth while driving with just a dash of pop. The vocals, unfettered by heavy distortion glide above the future house sound, allowing the track to push into that bass-heavy, but post-EDM feel that the Summer of 2016 seems to be filling out with. The track will find its way into rooftop bar parties, a couple of those day club events in the gaps at EDMBiz before EDC Vegas, and a HARD Summer set or two, you just wait and see. While it may not be gunning for festival anthem of the year or some overblown pop hit list, it’s a solid tune that a lot of Future House DJs will find a home for in their sets. It keeps the energy up, without pushing you too hard or fast, which is exactly where we need to be sometimes.
