Hotel Garuda – Smoke Signals (The Remixes)
Hotel Garuda is the collaboration of talented rising artists Manilla Killa and Candle Weather. This year has come to a great start for the group just recently finishing the Lost In Motion tour as AMTRAC‘s special guest, and the recent signing to PRMD Music. Following their debut and the release of their single “Smoke Signals“, artists Electric Mantis and Alizzz take up the opportunity to remix Hotel Garuda’s original. Apart from the original deep bassline and groovy chords, both of these artists take on a more futuristic rendition, with each remix still very distinct in nature. Electric Mantis‘s version infuses soft basslines, eloquently bouncing melodies and drippy-clipped percussions. In contrast, Alizzz reworks a more electronica feel – using transformed vocals, handclap synths aiding the uplifting beats, and drum-filled climaxes. Which remix is your favorite?
