A Little More

Eric Sharp – A Little More

Coming in fresh, coming in hot, Eric Sharp is back with a sexy lil’ ditty to send off this Monday on a good note. Produced in conjunction with Shandra Dixon for luscious vocals and Spencer Ludwig for classy trumpeting, Eric Sharp’s latest offering is a house tune with symphonic flare and clubby zest. “A Little More” has been in the works since 2013, with inspirations drawn from some of the hottest exports to originate from the UK including, Disclosure, Gorgon City and Duke Dumont; after a long marinade, the track clearly needed…well ‘a little more’, and upon running into Spencer Ludwig at the Sundance Film Festival after his performance with Capital Cities, the two instantly hit it off and took to the studio.

“A Little More represents the eternal wellspring of hope that is around every corner if we look for it. It celebrates the joy and release that music and dancing can inspire in us all…
…I invited Spencer to my bedroom studio in LA to start working on ideas for this collab. I looped the track’s progression while he free-riffed for about 15 minutes, and I recorded everything. I then structured the track with my favourite trumpet parts, and was really excited about showcasing such a beautiful instrument.”

The track wasn’t truly complete until Shandra’s was brought in on vox, making this songs production period a true audible odyssey. The patience and care implemented in this track speaks volumes, and it makes us appreciate it even more.
