10 Essential Avicii Tracks That Take Us Back To His Glory Days

Earlier today, Avicii shocked the dance music world by announcing his retirement from performing. The Swede will continue to produce music, but 2016 will be the last year that fans can catch a signature Avicii show (for now). Here is a small passage from his letter to fans:

My path has been filled with success but it hasn’t come without its bumps. I’ve become an adult while growing as an artist, I’ve come to know myself better and realize that there’s so much I want to do with my life. I have strong interests in different areas but there’s so little time to explore them.
Two weeks ago, I took the time to drive across the U.S. with my friends and team, to just look and see and think about things in a new way. It really helped me realize that I needed to make the change that I’d been struggling with for a while.

At the young age of 26, Tim Bergling has already accomplished more feats than most artists dream of. He’s been nominated for a pair of Grammys, embarked on multiple world tours, headlined some of the biggest music festivals in the world and dropped two chart-topping studio albums. Even though True and Stories are filled with quality tracks, many of us here at EDMTunes fell in love with Avicii as a result of his infectious hits that were released prior these two albums. That being said, we thought it would be fitting to relive some of Avicii’s best tracks from what we would like to call his “glory days”.
