Point Point- F+L

Point Point are a French duo that champions an innovative and versatile production style. They have established significant notoriety with their exceptional releases, having notably dropped remixes of big name tracks like Porter Robinson’s “Lionhearted“, “Gallant’s “Weight In Gold” and Tchami’s “After Life“. Their abilities have also been on prominent display from their original productions, as they recently dropped the stellar five track Contrastive Focus Reduplication EP. They have since followed this up with the brilliant “All This“, which explodes to life in sheer ecstasy in their uniquely joyful style. Point Point are now back once again with another original track, titled “F+L“.

“F+L” begins with an epic orchestral introduction that is sweepingly dramatic and jarringly beautiful. This intense cinematic beginning, which is drawn from Kanye West’s 2007 single “Flashing Lights“, climactically crescendoes in a crashing compilation of harmonic strings. After reaching a fever pitch, the track unleashes all its pent up tension with an effortless and cheerful melodic house breakdown. Point Point really flex their muscles on this track, cleverly sampling Kanye West in an ingenious fusion of grandiose orchestral symphonies and their uniquely futuristic musical style.
