The “12 Days of GRiZMAS” Charity Drive is a Hit

GRiZ Raises Over $30,000 for Charity

Detroit-native producer, GRiZ, has really found his niche, and I’m not talking about music, I’m talking about giving back to his hometown. This Christmas season was coined the “12 Days of GRiZMAS” for the second time by the people of Detroit. GRiZ raised over $30,000 for Little Kid Rock, a nonprofit organization that provides free music education and instruments to children in under-served US public schools.

Throughout the “12 Days of GRiZMAS” GRiZ and All Good Records, his label, hosted multiple charitable events including: collecting dog food and supplies, collecting over 500 coats (donated by fans of course), delivering pizza to hungry children and families, hosting a forum about the music industry, yoga classes, a “GRiZFAM Bowling” event, two individual All Good Records parties, going Christmas caroling, and serving up some craft beer at the local brewery. The All Good Record parties were a big hit among the fans. Both parties sold out even with one being a secret warehouse party. The lineups included FKJ, Big Wild, Will Sessions, and of Course GRiZ.

Detroit honored GRiZ for his philanthropy by awarding him Spirit of Detroit Award. Upon giving GRiZ the award, Brenda Jones, president of the Detroit City Councel said “GRiZ is a staple, not only in the electronic music circuit, but a staple in the city of Detroit.”
