Lido & Santell- Ashley
Norwegian wunderkind Lido just dropped some exciting news on his fans. He announced a collaborative EP titled The Passion Project which will be out October 23rd on Mad Decent. Lido dedicated the EP as a homage to classic RnB, utilizing the smooth vocals of singer and songwriter Santell. Lido had just released his collaborative Superspeed EP with Canblaster just six months back, which blew fans away with its frenetic pace and explosive energy. He is teasing the first helping off his new EP now, dropping their original track ‘Ashley.’
‘Ashley’ begins with an immediate immersion thanks to some soulful vocal crooning from the supremely talented Santell. Santell’s silky smooth vocals are perfectly complemented by Lido’s fluid and effortless production. The two deliver an exciting projection towards the future with ‘Ashley’, crafting a sensual vibe unlike Lido typically attempts. It is impressive to see how easily Lido embraces the RnB vibe, drifting away from his more high pitched and high energy productions. The two graciously dropped ‘Ashley’ now, but we’re going to have to wait for the rest of the EP.
