Yes you read that correctly, there is going to be a Harry Potter themed Halloween party by Brooklyn based queer art collective and party curators The Culture Whore this Saturday October 24th at a secret warehouse in Brooklyn. This is the second of its kind as just two years ago, The Culture Whore through their first Harry Potter themed party in their Hogwartz Rave and are back with Chambers of Secrets. The music to be played at this “magical” extravaganza will be coming from local underground techno djs from the likes of Bearcat and Michael Magnan as well as performance shows from the likes of hip-hop duo Banjee Report, trans showgirl Charlene and many more to make appearances throughout the night.
Chambers of Secrets is going to be a celebration of the local art and music scene with some Harry Potter flavor added to it. Event director Mark Dommu, helps portray what to expect at the rave as a premise of Bellatrix Lestrange as a Bushwick resident with an appetite for techno. Sadly we should not be expecting flying brooms but you can expect to see a few Harry Potters, Ron Weasleys, Hermione Grangers, Professor Snapes, Voldemorts and so many more characters to show up at this party. Don’t be surprised if you walk into a few characters casting spells and charms your way!
