Aaliyah – One in a Million (Vasta Remix)
House up and comer Vasta today reveals his remix of a classic – Aaliyah’s ballad ‘One in a Million’. The famously silky crooning of the Queen of Urban Pop has been re-cradled into a lush bed of melodic house grooves. Melancholy guitar plucks and serene synthesizer play weave through the top line, giving listeners a peak into one of R&B’s defining records through a vastly different lens. Vasta, at this point, is a fairly mysterious/ anonymous act, and this article isn’t clearing it up. He’s previously remixed The Chainsmokers’ ‘Let You Go’, JAHKOY’s ‘Still In Love’, and have featured on THUMP’s mix series, and that’s it. All have been quality releases within the house space, and this Aaliyah remix continues that trend.
