Desert Dwellers – Wings of Waves (Liquid Stranger Remix)
If you are currently looking for some new electronic music to dabble around in look no further. Earlier today, the three part ensemble, Desert Dwellers, released a remix of their ethereal psychedelic bass track, “Wings Of Waves”, courtesy of Liquid Stranger. This release, only one of many to come from Desert Dwellers’ The Great Mystery Remixes Vol.1.
Desert Dwellers describes their sound as a bass and dance infused “sonic incense”, a fairly apt description. The original feel from Desert Dwellers’ untouched track maintains its mystic nature, though the beat and bass provided by Liquid Stranger produces a whole new experience of the song. Though Liquid Stranger has lately lent his hand to the world of bass and dubstep, he retains much familiarity with the more ambient and soundscape route akin to that of Desert Dwellers (for an example check out Liquid Stranger’s album Cryogenic Encounters). Though it transitions through a handful of mixed and mashed microgenres, “Wings Of Waves”, is a solid track that could fit comfortably under any psydub or glitch-hop label.
