TomorrowWorld is Heartbroken Over Difficult Weekend


Often times sensationalism gets the best of us in a tough situation. This morning numerous outlets put TomorrowWorld on blast for a supposedly dismissive and arrogant response to this weekend’s festival. The issue came about from a statement given by a PR rep from the festival which was given in Dutch and roughly translated using Google Translate. Anybody who is bilingual knows that Google Translate often misses the mark in conveying the true meaning of the translations given. The direct translation appears harsh and direct, ignoring the valid concerns of fans. However, our Dutch speaking writers noted that the Dutch manner of speaking is often more direct and carries less flourish than many are used to in English. This combined with Google Translate appears to show little remorse from the festival, when that is not the case.

To put the issue to bed completely, the festival posted a heartfelt apology to Facebook today. It notes that they are “heartbroken” over the situation and strive to make it better. To that end, TomorrowWorld listed an the email welisten@tomorrowworld.com where fans can report their stories, frustrations, and questions to get a response from the festival. We have often noted that Tomorrowland and their associated festivals go above and beyond when it comes to customer service, so it is comforting to see them making amends.
