Cable Cat – Ponch Ponch EP
Constantly churning out new material, the Audiophile Deep lads have another offering that you should get ready for. Cable Cat isn’t a new face around the label and it’s not his first release with them either; having his last release on Audiophile remixed by MANIK, Gabe and Dangur with most recently just coming out with a tune of Toolroom Records.
This go around, Cable Cat decided to skip the remix pack and release a three track original EP, Ponch Ponch. Pulling from his unique back catalog of experience while hailing from Russia, Ilya Lazutkin’s forward thinking sound is immediately heard in the title track “Ponch Ponch”. Heavy of the bass while not detracting from the four on the floor beat nestled in the background. “Very Well” tones down the bass into a more groove driven variant of the tune instead of bringing it to the forefront. “Find Your Mood” is easily the most addicting and easily accessible to a variety of audiences with it’s intoxicating bassline melody.
