Oliver Heldens – Koala (Michael Calfan Remix)
Last month, Dutch superstar Oliver Heldens officially released his smash single, ‘Last All Night (Koala)’, along with a versatile remix package. The funky original has been played in countless sets and mixes from deep and progressive house producers alike. To kickstart the year, Heldens employed Parisian producer Michael Calfan to remix ‘Koala‘, and it’s safe to say he hit it out of the park.
Calfan has been tearing up the Internet with his fusion of melodic and progressive house originals, including ‘Prelude’ and ‘Treasured Soul’. Continuing with his deeper style, Calfan injects ‘Koala’ with soulful synth work, entrancing pads, and brand new vocal chops that gives the original an entirely new take. His crossover from progressive to deep house was one that surprised fans but his talent translated incredibly well to give him his own trademark sound now.
