Nigel Good fans were ecstatic yesterday when the producer broke a long awaited silence with a massive string of works in progress, full tracks, and sample melodies. One of these uploads, stashed away in a playlist titled ‘For Producers’, was nine minutes of Good explaining the creation process of one of his tracks.
He goes through each movement and how some ideas started to where they ended while also explaining the feelings and emotions he was aiming for throughout the production. Listening to the whole thing truly creates a better understanding of how he approaches his music and how he arranged tracks specifically for his album. Having never seen a producer do something similar, it was really eye opening to listen to Nigel Good’s commentary.
