Hardwell, Tiesto & Other Dutch DJs Pay Their Respects to MH17 Victims

It’s a sad day today, especially for the Netherlands. According to various news reports, as well as social media posts from Hardwell and a slew of other Dutch DJs, the Dutch government has declared Wednesday, July 23, 2014, “a day of national mourning as the country prepares for the arrival of the first bodies of victims of the downed Malaysia Airlines Flight 17.” The entire world was affected last Thursday when a passenger plane was shot down unexpectedly over the grounds of the current Ukrainian conflict. While an ongoing investigation is taking place, the remains of all deceased 298 people are starting to be sent back to their families in their respective home countries. Throughout the day, you can expect to see more memorial posts popping up over Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, as DJs pay their respects to all who perished. Our thoughts and prayers are with all who were directly affected by this tragedy. It serves to remind us that there are things far more important in the world than dance music, or DJing, or the next big festival.
