The numbers are in and for the third year in a row, Coachella has broken its own Billboard Boxscore record and has set a new all-time record. This past April, the famed festival sold out and reaped a gross of $78,332,000, with 96,500 attendees each day for a total of 579,000 entries over the course of the two back-to-back weekends.  This year marked the 15th annual Coachella and featured electronic acts like Skrillex, Calvin Harris, Zedd, Empire of the Sun, Chromeo, The Glitch Mob, the debut live performance of Galantis and more alongside rock, indie and hip-hop performances.

The festival took place at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California, drawing music-lovers to the desert from April 11th-13th and April 18th-20th.  This year broke the previous record held by Coachella 2013, which grossed $67.2 million.  Coachella is produced by Goldenvoice Presents and will hold the 16th annual Coachella next April. Weekend 1 will take place from April 10th-12th, 2015 and Weekend 2 will be April 17th-19th, 2015.  Advance tickets went on sale in May and sold out for both weekends within a few hours. Historically, Goldenvoice releases more tickets after the lineup is announced in January… so hold tight if you weren’t able to cop a ticket!
