[Breaking News] Over 50 People Hospitalized at Avicii Concert in Boston

Avicii's Boston show sees 50 people hospitalized
Many reports are coming in about a tragedy that struck an Avicii concert on Wednesday night in Boston, Massachusetts. “Dozens” of concertgoers, with ages ranging from 16 to 25, have been taken to the hospital to be treated for dehydration, drug and alcohol-related issues, according to the Boston Globe. Boston EMS are reporting that the number has reached over 50 people, with 36 transported to the hospital. No fatalities have been reported, yet, and all the symptoms have been minor.

After Avicii’s own hiatus at the beginning of the year, this concert was the kickoff for his eastern USA and European tour until the end of September. Those in attendance told the Globe that “You get really hot in there and you just pass out. You couldn’t breathe. It was claustrophobic. People get dehydrated.” Boston EMS started receiving calls at 8:30 p.m. and arrived on the scene. The show was scheduled to end at 11 p.m.

This event mirrors Zedd’s own Boston travesty, last August, during the opening of his “Moment of Clarity” tour at the House of Blues. Three people were taken to the hospital, with one female pronounced dead. Avicii took to his Twitter account:
